Company History
Intelect Corporation, founded in May 1995, was established to serve the systems needs of the transportation industry. The firm, whose headquarters is based in Baltimore, Maryland, began with a few customers, primarily within public transportation, and with several leading integrators and manufacturers. The company’s founding mission was to provide comprehensive technical services to government, transportation and private industry, and some of the earliest projects included wiring specifications for complex communications systems, as well as contracts to perform low voltage and high voltage electrical upgrades for transportation facilities.
Since then, Intelect has developed its expertise to provide skilled assistance to Government, Construction & Engineering groups, Service Providers, and the Information Technology industry. Intelect remains involved in the customized design and engineering of new solutions for transportation systems, and in the installation and maintenance of Electrical and Telecommunications systems.
Continuing to deliver world-class engineering, installation, and maintenance services for projects across the country, staying abreast of the latest technologies, providing quality product and services, and keeping customers informed to make better systems implementation decisions are some ofour top priorities.

As a natural progression, the company was sought out by nationally recognized firms to offer value-added reseller services for a variety of these and other transportation related services. Additionally, Intelect’s staff of engineers and technicians have been trained in several technically challenging areas including: assembly, manufacturing, troubleshooting, testing & diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, systems design, project management, project implementation, programming and end-user training.
